An Indecent Title

I have recently been told by several friends that I have been labelled a "bad gambler". The newspapers and magazines are most happy to publicize this, but in fact I have been misrepresented, or to put it more seriously, framed.
In fact, I am not a bad gambler, so I am taking this opportunity to redress my grievances. I believe that my being described as a bad gambler is due to the fact that some people who have played poker with me have made it sound so bad. When they lost, they went around telling people that they had won a lot of money from Ms. Yung and that they had to invite me for tea.
People understand one thing. There is a saying that if word gets around, word gets around. Soon everyone in the circle seemed to have played poker with me and lost money to me. When people talked about Yung Mei Ling, the topic of conversation was inseparable from winning money at cards. With all the rumours going around, I became such a bad gambler.
But then again, when I don't have to work, I spend a lot of time playing cards. It's not a big mistake to spend time with a couple of friends when you can. I don't play cards when I'm working, it's hard to spend time when I'm not working. There are not many friends and relatives in Hong Kong and it's not convenient to go out shopping, so I'm bored at home alone.
The time when I don't have to work is really boring, so I especially like to work. Once a drama starts filming, it's a 180-degree change and I'm a different person. Playing cards is just a diversion when I'm bored.
When people say I am a lousy gambler, they are just exaggerating my pastime. I hope people will change their image of me as a bad gambler.

不雅的稱號
提供最近我在幾位朋友口中，得悉自己被人冠上一個「爛賭」不雅之號。報章雜誌最樂於宣傳此事，其實此事我實在被人誤傳，說嚴重一些簡直是陷害。
其實我自問並不爛賭，所以趁著這個機會為自己呼冤。我被形容得如此爛賭，相信是個別曾與我打牌的人渲染所致。他們打輸了，就四處對人表示被翁美玲贏了許多錢，一定要找我請飲茶。
人家都明白一個道理。有句話說是一傳十，十傳百。不久全圈子的人都好像同我打過牌，輸過錢給我。大家提起翁美玲，話題就與打牌贏錢分不開。在周圍的人不斷的傳言下，我就變得如此爛賭。
不過話說回頭，平時不用開工，許多時我都以打牌來消磨時間。只是在時間無法打發，與三兩好友消遣，這也不算犯大錯圖
再者在開工的時間就絕不打牌，沒有工開時，實在時間很難過。在港的親友不多，出外逛街又不方便，獨自躲在家中就悶得發慌，大家想想，除了打牌以外，還有甚麼好提議。
不用開工的時間實在沉悶，所以特別喜歡開工。
一個劇集開拍後，就是一百八十度轉變，簡直判若兩人，別人提起打牌都會被我覺得無聊，有充足精神才能應付繁重的拍攝工作。打牌祇是無聊時的消遺。
別人指我爛賭，祇是將我的消遺誇張而已，
希望大家對我的爛賭形象有所改變。
