Starting from 28th June, Yung Mei Ling will join "Woman today".
Yung Mei Ling humbly says: I never been a host of a show before. I have to ask Sylvia Lai and Chan Tsai-Chung to teach me how to perform in the show.
“Did you act as TV presenter before? Is this your first time?”
“As a formal TV presenter, this is a first time. In the past, I was just interviewed by different presenters in different TV shows.”
“Does this make any special impression on you?”
Yung Mei Ling thought a while and says: “I just feel a bit tension. Luckily, "Woman today" is a show that introduces culinary art, jewellery, fashion etc. I do not see any difficulties in these topics.”
“From hearsay, you studied in UK. Right?
“Yes, I studied in UK and got a bachelor degree. I majored in design. Apart from design, I am interested in sport and dancing. Now, I have signed a contract with TVB and joined in "Woman today" so I guess that I do not have a chance to sing and participating in sports activities."
“You lived in UK in the past eight years. Now, you returned back to HK. Do you feel uncomfortable?
“Oops! I am Hongkonger. Hongkonger's adaptability is high. Although I was abroad in the past eight years, I still feel a sense of belonging to Hong Kong. So, when I completed the beauty pageant, I stayed here and signed a two year's contract with TVB.”
Yung Mei Ling is charming although she is short. Originally, TVB planned to delegate her to perform in TV series. However, her Cantonese speaking is not well so she just have a chance to act as TV presenter.
When I see Yung Mei Ling every time, she must wear a T-shirt, jeans and a short coat.
Yung Mei Ling explains: “Because I’m too thin! When I wear a coat, I can look fatter.”
“Really! she looks too thin. Her shoulders are sunken. Hurry up! Get fatter!!”
“I had eaten a lot but in vain. So, I give up! I am twenty-three years old but only weigh around 100lbs. Quite poor!”
Yung Mei Ling's appearance is gentle but she is active. Her character is very open-minded. She said taking a photo in front of mirror reflected me as a two-faced person. It is like my character!
