On Saturday 18 May 1985, a funeral vigil was held at the World Hall of the World Funeral Parlour for family and friends to pay their respects.
The funeral itself was held on Sunday morning the 19th as a Catholic ceremony on the 30th day of the 3rd month of the lunar calendar, which was Weng Meiling's lunar birthday.
