Playing Huang Rong Brings Rising Fame, Barbara Yung Draws Criticism as Her Star Soars
Having debuted only six months ago, Barbara Yung's (翁美玲) career fortune is genuinely good. She has suddenly become one of TVB's busiest artists, with her popularity increasing daily.
"The Legend of the Condor Heroes" is a massive hit with audiences. Barbara, who plays the role of Huang Rong, should have become a new screen idol like Michelle Yim (米雪) did in her day. However, TVB's deliberate cultivation doesn't seem to be achieving the expected results. We found Barbara at a studio, and before she entered makeup, we pulled her to a restaurant for a chat.
Many say Barbara, spoiled by fame, has become arrogant—often arriving late, leaving early, throwing tantrums during recordings, and putting on airs as a "precious starlet."

Whether she can become "the next Michelle Yim" should be clear after "Condor Heroes." Barbara, however, pays no mind to such comparisons and has no desire to become "Michelle Yim, Part Two."
"I don't want to be compared to others. Comparisons are odious. She is her, and I am me," Barbara said stubbornly, yet with distinct personality. If you know how to appreciate her, her character is endearing; otherwise, she might leave a bad impression.
Perhaps precisely because of this, Barbara unknowingly offends people, landing her on the "difficult starlet" blacklist.
Barbara has a unique personality, and the one who likely appreciates it most is Ken Tong (湯鎮業). Her relationship with "Ah Tong" is progressing well.
Mentioning Ah Tong, Barbara's smile becomes especially sweet. She openly admits their relationship has stabilized.
"Any chance of a whirlwind marriage?"
"Of course not. We've only just started. Besides, our careers aren't established yet. Marriage would be at least three years away," Barbara said, full of confidence in Ken Tong. She says he is not a playboy.

"我不想与别人相提并论，人比人气死人。她是她，我是我。"翁美玲说得很倔，但很有性格。懂得欣赏的话，她的性格是可爱的；否则，她会给人留下不良印象。
也许就是这样，翁美玲在不知不觉中开罪别人，所以被列入"姐仔"黑名单。
翁美玲有独特的个性，最懂得欣赏的应该是汤镇业。她与阿汤的感情发展得不错。
提起阿汤，翁美玲笑得特别甜。她坦承这段感情稳定下来。
"会否闪电结婚？"
