Barbara Yung, despite not making it to the top three in the Miss Hong Kong pageant, found herself in a fortunate position. With her charming looks, she was recruited by TVB and given significant roles. It seems TVB recognized her potential and was determined not to let her talent go to waste. Whether this decision was right or wrong remains to be seen, but based on various opinions, Barbara Yung has the ability to act.
"How do you personally feel about your performance in The Legend of the Thirteen Sisters?" I asked.
"There's still some distance from my ideal, and the results are just average. But I won't feel disheartened because this is only my first time acting. If I haven't left a bad impression, I can consider that somewhat satisfactory."
I then asked, "So, in The Legend of the Condor Heroes, compared to The Thirteen Sisters, do you think you've improved?"
Barbara Yung revealed her two bunny teeth and smiled. "Playing Huang Rong is more challenging than The Thirteen Sisters. Understanding the character is also more difficult. In The Thirteen Sisters, I didn't have a heavy role. I just had to portray the spoiled and willful nature of a princess, which was manageable. But Huang Rong isn't just a mischievous and willful girl. Her personality has multiple layers, and it's not easy to portray each one excellently!"
The charming and delicate Barbara Yung has a strong personality. In the context of TV history, she is still a newcomer, but she doesn't want to use her "newness" as an excuse for any subpar performances. She believes she should keep improving. Her first series, The Thirteen Sisters, was understood by the audience as her debut, so expectations weren't high. But with The Legend of the Condor Heroes, naturally, the expectations rose. Therefore, Barbara Yung put in 120% effort to play "Huang Rong." She believes that by doing her best, she can live up to the audience's expectations and her own.
Taking on a leading role undoubtedly comes with immense psychological pressure. However, having such a responsibility is better than not having it at all, and naturally, many people envy her for being so favored by the company. She herself feels like a lucky person but doesn't let her good fortune blind her. She cherishes every opportunity, seizes them, and creates beautiful memories in her life.
In fact, she has already had a precious chapter in her life. On the path of love, her relationship with Kent Tong has been developing well.
But when faced with reporters' questions, she still doesn't admit it.
I remember Kent once said he was afraid that if Barbara Yung played Huang Rong and became a huge star, she might not continue their relationship. When I repeated this to Barbara, she became very serious and said, "Do I seem like that kind of person?" 翁美玲在港姐竞选 ,虽然未能够问鼎三甲 ,但「塞翁失马」,凭 着俏丽的容貌,为无线 罗致旗下,并加以重而 用之。可想无线也深知 她有如一块肥田,绝不 可以流向别人地。如今 ,仍未证明这做法是对 是错,据综合各方面的 意见,翁美玲是可以演 戏的
「你个人对在《十 三妹的演出是否感到 满意!」笔者问。
「离开理想还有一 段距离,成绩仅属平平 ,但是,我不会因而感 到灰心,始终这才是第 一次演戏,不留给人家 一个太坏的影响,已稍 算满意。」
我问,「那么,在 《射雕英雌传,中,较 诸《十三妹,应有进步
翁美玲露出她咀里两颗兔仔牙,微笑一下 ,演黄蓉的难度较《十三妹》多一点,揣摩角色方面,困难也较大, 《十三妹》的我不是担重戏,只要演到格格 1的刁蛮任性,也可以交差,但黄蓉不只俏皮刁蛮的女孩子,她的性格有几重,每一重都演得出色,可不容易啊!
娇气可人的翁美玲 ,个性却是好强,以电 视同类历史来算,她仍
是新丁一名,但她不希 望以「新」来原谅自己 的不佳演出,她认为应 该是越来越进步才是对 ,她首部剧集《十三妹 *,观众明白她是新人 ,大多要求不高,《射 雕的她,大家自然要 求提高了,故此,翁美 玲演「黄蓉」,是落足 万二分的功夫。相信尽 力以为,对得起观众及 自己矣

疑心理压力极重,然而 ,有得重好过无得重, 自然有好多人会羡慕她 ,被公司宠爱有加。氮她自己也觉得是一 名幸运儿,却不敢被好 运蒙闭了,她珍惜每个 机会,好好把握之,留 下她一生中的美好回忆。
事实上,她已拥有 宝贵的一页,爱情路上 ,她与汤镇业的感情发 展得不俗。
但她面对记者们的 追问,她还是不承认。
我记得阿汤曾说过怕翁美玲演黄容,一朝大红大紫,不再继续这段情。将这段话向翁美玲覆述一次,她十分紧张认真地说,「我象这么一个人吗?」她对自己充满信心,成名后, 绝不会忘记阿汤这个好朋友
