Barbara Yung cut her hair short

She says she can be quite stubborn at times, just as she has persistently maintained her signature hairstyle over the years.
Even when her stubbornness wavered once—when she cut her hair short—the free-spirited, candid nature of Barbara Yung was still evident in that very pixie cut.
Whenever she went for a trim, her hairdresser would repeat the same old lines, to the point of exasperation. Yet, like her hair that always grew back to its original length, her personality remained unwavering—she disliked too much change.
"It's just habit. I'm used to how I look," she shrugged. She believed her own nature was like this, and naturally, her approach to relationships was no exception. Thus, her romance with Kent Tong also followed this pattern.
"I’ve been with TVB for over three years and have never cut my hair short… just this once. Thankfully, my hair grows fast," she said.
The reason she refused to cut her hair short was that she believed straight, long hair was the easiest to manage. Barbara hated fussing over her appearance. She could head out with just a touch of lipstick, claiming she was the quickest and simplest among her friends when getting ready.
Perhaps because she hadn’t dressed up in so long, Barbara came up with a mischievous idea that day—layering heavy makeup with shimmer, turning herself into "a woman among women." The photographer didn’t miss this rare opportunity.
"Filming Challenge was quite tiring due to the tight schedule, but otherwise, it was comfortable. Since my character was a CID officer, I didn’t need to fuss over looking glamorous—it suited my personality perfectly," she said with a laugh.
Her personality was just like that—there was no changing her. That’s why I felt her role as the confident, straightforward police inspector Tse Bik-wa in Challenge somewhat mirrored her real-life demeanor. Barbara neither agreed nor disagreed, simply saying, "After wearing heavy makeup for filming, it’s time to let my skin breathe!"
翁美玲剪短了头发

她说自己有时确实很倔强，就像多年来始终执着于那把长发。
即便那次破例剪了短发，从不拘泥、爽朗率直的翁美玲，依然能从这头短发中窥见真性情。
每次修剪头发时，发型师总是重复那几句老生常谈，直到快要气炸。但就像总会重新长回肩长的头发一样，她骨子里讨厌变化的倔强从未改变。
"只是习惯罢了，看惯了自己这样。"她耸耸肩。她认为这种性格也延续到了感情处理方式，因此她与阿汤的恋情也保持着同样的基调。
"我加入TVB三年多，从没剪过短发...就这一次。幸好我头发长得快。"
她坚持不剪短发的理由，是觉得直长发最容易打理。翁美玲最怕"姿整"，素面朝天抹个口红就能出门，还笑称自己是朋友圈里最不修边幅的一个。
或许太久没打扮的缘故，这天她突发奇想化起浓妆，还叠加珠光效果，简直"女人味爆棚"，摄影师自然不肯错过这难得机会。
"拍《挑战》除了赶戏辛苦，其实很舒服。因为演的是CID，不用刻意打扮，最对我的脾气了。"她笑着说。
她这性子实在拿她没辙，所以我总觉得《挑战》里那个自信爽朗的督察谢碧华，多少有她本人的影子。翁美玲不置可否，只说："拍戏总要浓妆艳抹，现在该让皮肤透透气啦！"
