It’s unclear if Tong Chun Yip has a particular preference for outgoing and lively girls, but those he's dated have mostly been this type. His past love, Deborah Moore, and now Yung Mei Ling are both cheerful, vivacious women.
After finishing The Legend of the Condor Heroes, Yung Mei Ling went to perform in the UK, Netherlands, and France for two weeks, while Tong Chun Yip focused on filming. Their busy schedules helped them ease some of the longing. Of course, they kept in touch with long-distance calls, and as soon as Yung Mei Ling returned to Hong Kong, they couldn’t wait to see each other.
One day, the company asked Yung Mei Ling to join a promotional event for "Energetic Hong Kong," but due to a typhoon, the event was canceled. When Yung Mei Ling found out, she was so happy that she jumped with joy. As it turns out, Tong Chun Yip had some free time that afternoon. Originally, they couldn’t meet because of her work, but now with the event canceled, Yung Mei Ling quickly called him. Soon, Tong Chun Yip drove over to pick her up, and they went shopping together in Tsim Sha Tsui.
Left Out by Wah Jai, Missed Out on Something Special
Before Tong arrived, I chatted with Yung Mei Ling about her trip to Europe, and she was very happy. It turned out she had stayed at home in England for four or five nights.
"My mom knew I was performing on stage and even bought tickets to support me," Yung Mei Ling said.
A group of young people went out together. Wherever they decided to go, everyone went together. "Wah Jai (Andy Lau) said they went to a disco where they saw a woman doing a strip show, and then they went to the woods to see older women bargaining for something. Did you go with them?"
"Yes!" Yung Mei Ling nodded. "But Wah Jai and the others also went to other places without me. I didn’t know about that! They always say I look too young. Foreigners even thought I was a little girl."
Yung Mei Ling revealed Wah Jai’s secret — he wouldn’t miss out on any fun activities. If it weren’t for Leung Kit Wah by his side, he might have gone even crazier.
Caught in the Middle, Feeling Very Nervous
"Now that you’re back, you’ll be filming a new drama soon, right?" After more than two weeks of rest, Yung Mei Ling still seemed tired, but her energy had returned to her face.
"The company has already informed me that I’ll be filming a new drama directed by Lee Tim Shing, called The man in the middle, with Adam Cheng and Wong Kam Wing as the main actors."
"You’re really lucky! Two big stars with you. You won’t have to worry about being the ‘middleman’ in this sandwich, will you?"
She shyly said, "Don’t say that. I’m lucky, but knowing I’ll be working with these two leading actors, I’m really nervous."
She said that luck can only help for a while. If her performance isn’t good, the company could drop her at any time, and she might have to pack up and go back to the UK.

,心情挺紧张的。 」
