The Duchess of Kent Children's Hospital at Tai Kau Wan was established in 1956, when the founding organization was the Hong Kong Disabled Children's Association. The hospital currently provides specialized services for all children in Hong Kong, as well as treatment, rehabilitation and hospitalization services for orthopedic patients over 18 years of age with spinal problems. In addition, the hospital is well-known in the treatment of children's orthopedic diseases, and is even more famous in handling cases of spinal deformity. 大口环根德公爵夫人儿童医院于1956年成立，当时的创办机构为香港弱能儿童护助会。医院现时为全港儿童病人提供专科服务，并为十八岁以上脊柱出现问题的骨科病人，提供治疗、康复和住院服务。此外，医院在儿童骨科疾病治疗方面享负盛名，在处理脊柱畸形的病例上更享盛誉，名气不但遍及香港，并延伸世界各地。
