It's been 36 years since the death of the fatal beauty, who was only 26 when she was found by her then scandalous boyfriend,Chow Sai-lung, at her apartment on Broadcast Drive in Kowloon at around 4am on May 14, 1985, where she committed suicide by turning on a gas and was taken to Kowloon Tong Baptist Hospital where she died.

翁美玲 轉眼已去世36年，這位薄命紅顏離世時才26歲。1985年5月14日凌晨4點左右，翁美玲被她當時的緋聞男友鄒世龍，發現在九龍塘廣播道寓所內開煤氣自殺，送往九龍塘浸信會醫院搶救後不治，當時傳媒報道均猜測她自尋短見，是因感情出現問題。
