A while ago Yung Mei Ling went with her nominal sister to Singapore. Their aims for this visit was to pray to God and ask about the future by a fortune teller. Originally they planned to go Thailand as well. However, all flights were fully booked so they returned to Hong Kong on 19th August to be in time for the scheduled costume photoshoot for “The New Adventure of Chor Lau Heung”.
Yung Mei Ling said that she bumped into Andy Lau Tak Wah and Felix Wong Yat Wah during the trip. They both were performing in a show on stage. During the show they asked her to come up to the stage and sing a few songs, but she refused as she had on make-up on. When Yung Mei Ling was walking on the street in Singapore, many local people could recognize her and ask her autograph. This also happened in hotels or casinos. When the plane had not yet taken off, a pilot would come to see her and called her Huang Rong. She is unexpectedly surrounded by many people everywhere.
Yung Mei Ling says: “The funniest case was that a man held a pakket of SGD money in his hand and came up to me while I was drinking alcohol. He invited me to dance with him but I refused. Out of the blue he said that if I was Yung Mei Ling and accepted his dance invitation, he was willing to share the SGB money (Around a few hundred SGD dollars) with me as he had a gamble with his friend. As I was afraid that it was a trick, I refused him again. As a result, I just gave my autograph as a proof.
With regards to Tony Leung Chiu Wai, he regretted signing an additional five years contract with TVB. A journalist asked if Yung Mei Ling had the same feeling as Tony Leung Chiu Wai. She shook her head and said that she would not regret signing an additional five years contract with TVB as she had plans for these five years. In these five years she will try to earn much more money. After five years she believes that her appearance will look tired (ugly) as she continually performs a role in tv series. So she will start a business which is to set up a small shop to sell some gadgets and enjoy her rest life.
